How to Embrace Fullness

This month the Lord gave me the word FULLNESS and slowly I’ve been learning what that means. Over this past week the Lord has told me to embrace all that He has to offer because He desires me to be filled to capacity. Lately, I’ve been getting lost in comparison, the future, pride, and selfishness. I think to myself, really Kelsey you are traveling around the world and doing so many things people can only dream about and yet you are comparing yourself and thinking about the future. It’s hard to admit it, but yes, it happened.

Then the Lord said,

“EMBRACE the fullness I have to offer you!”

The Lord wants us to experience fullness. He has given us abilities and gifts, family and friends who appreciate and love us just as we are. The Lord continually wants to bless us and bring us to see more of Himself, but it’s so easy to get lost in circumstances.

Currently, the future is a recurring thought because the race is almost over. This is mind blowing, 3 countries/3 months left. I think about what I’ll be doing afterwards, where I’ll live, where I’ll work. The Lord then speaks and says, “stay here in the present because this is where I have you at now. The future will take care of itself”. “I have plans for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future” (Jeremiah 29:11).

Wow, no matter what I’m feeling or going through, the Lord continually shows me another part of His heart. He wants me and you to experience Fullness. Fullness of joy, fullness of love, fullness of peace, fullness of beauty, fullness of compassion, fullness of excitement and so much more.

On one of our rest days we went to the beach and I was going to take a swim, but then I heard the Lord say ”Sit, sit and look at the beauty of the ocean, the mountains, the sky, your friends. I want to give you the fullness of embracing my beauty.” As I looked up, it was seriously so beautiful! The bright blue green ocean, green calm tall trees, clear blue skies, and smiling laughing friends.

Even when I talk to people I hear the Lord saying, “Sit and embrace the fullness of love I have for this person. Humble yourself and put their needs before yours. Look and see them as I see them.”

It’s crazy even in the unexpected times the Lord says experience my compassion. A man came up to my friends and I as we were laughing and enjoying each other’s company in the open air by the beach. He was deaf and could barely talk. He taught us how to whistle through a seashell. We asked if we could pray for him, I pointed to the cross on my hand and he said no. After listening to his story he subtly tried to sell us drugs. I was shocked that he took it out and tried to sell it to us, of course we said “no”. As we walked away we felt a bit of fear, but also compassion for this man. He is human and is a man who desires to be loved and be seen. He had a hard life and drugs are what keep him going and help him sustain himself. That’s a tough reality for not only him, but many others. The Lord sees us all and wants to show us so many things even if it’s tough because not everything is rainbows and butterflies. Things are tough, but our God is greater and bigger than it all.

If you are going through something the Lord will reveal himself to you! He wants you to experience the fullness He has for you!
