Month 3.

November 7th, 2018.
Parramos, Quiche, Gautemala.
Kelsey,
your time on the World Race has come to an end. Wow. It’s hard to believe something you have dreamt about for 2 years has come and gone just like that. I can’t even pretend to know who you are now, or even begin to know what you will need to hear at this point in your  journey.
First, I know your probably very sad this chapter has ended, but just know God has more wild things like this waiting for you. So don’t get discouraged. He just needs your yes. WHATEVER IT IS I DON’T CARE, SAY YES OKAY.  I can’t imagine month 9 you really needs to hear that anymore, but month 3 you still needs the reminder.
Second, please don’t go back home and fall back into this ridiculous place of complacency… push into being uncomfortable. Complacency is not how God ever intended anybody to live. If you are living that way you are living outside God’s will for you. Complacency is the easiest way to exist, but it is the absolute worst way to exist. Trust me, I would know. I have lived both ways at many different points in the past 18 years. I can honestly say complacency is easier, but intentionality is worth the trouble. So just don’t forget that.
One thing God has been teaching me right now that I want to remind you of is this: Perfectionism is the enemy of grace. You are never going to be prefect, hence Jesus dying on the cross for you. So don’t be afraid to do things and mess up. ITS GOING TO BE OKAY. I know your a 1, but let your wing 9 take the lead sometimes.

Also I thought it would be cool to let you know some stuff going on right now to jog your memory on where you’ve come from.

You became fully funded for the World Race a week ago.

You and your wonderful team have been doing ministry here in Los Corrales, and Chimal. It has been one wild roller coaster ride…one you’re dreading getting off of though.

Today your application for Bethany Global University was completed, and started to be processed. I wonder how that worked out.  I still don’t how to feel about it.
(Good is the right answer to that last part.)

You are 10 days away from turning 19.

You just signed up to hike Acatenango at the end of the month. Something you’ve wanted to do for long. It’s going to be so RAD.

Anyway I think that’s it.

Sincerely,
The Slightly Lamer Month 3 Version of You.
