Hey everyone, in this blog I’m going to be sharing some very, very exciting news with you all!!! There is a verse our squad quotes a lot, and it has probably become one of my new favorites. Anyway, it’s relevant to what I will be sharing with you all in this blog post today. The verse is: 2 Corinthians 3:18 which says,
“But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit.”
So basically this verse is talking about how the Lord shapes us to look more and more like Him as He takes us from one season to another season in our lives. So that’s actually what I wanted to share with you all today. This season of the Race has been so amazing for me. It has brought up things I’ve needed to work on in my life. It has brought up areas the Lord has gifted me in. It has shown me what it truly means to be HIS church and embody that. However, it is just that…a season. In 4 months my Race will be over. So what does that mean for me? When this season ends, what season does the Lord want to take me into? The past 2 months of the Race the Lord and I have really been talking about what He wants me to do with this life He has given me. In that, I started asking Him questions. Lord where do you want to take me? What do you want me to do? How can I effectively accomplish what you are calling me into next? So that brings me to the news you all have been waiting for. What’s next. Well, first let me say the Lord has used my Race to confirm that He is calling me to the mission field long term. Okay…so what does that actually look like though? Well, you might remember me mentioning this in one of my other blogs but if you don’t, basically I applied to Bethany Global University… and I got accepted! So I feel like there are 2 things I should explain. First, what the heck is Bethany Global University? Bethany Global University is an accredited missions college in Minnesota. It was started by a mission board called Bethany International. They have an amazing program that allows you to serve on the mission field long term well getting your degree. So I will get home from the Race in June and I will move to campus on August 20th! So for the first 2 years I will be living and studying on their campus in Minnesota, and then for my next 2 years I will be living and studying somewhere on the mission field! So I will most likely be a Double Major in Intercultural Studies and Bible Theology with a minor in either Social Justice or Teaching English as a Foreign Langauge! I will decide where I want to go on Internship at the end of my freshman year. I’m praying about somewhere in either Europe, The Middle East, or Asia. I’m so excited to see what the Lord has for me! The second thing I wanted to explain is what lead to me actually committing to Bethany. I actually went and saw Bethany Global before I went on the Race. When I was there I fell in love with the community and the programs they had to offer, but I felt like the Lord was telling me not yet… because he was pulling me towards the Race first! However, after my acceptance and spending a lot of time in prayer, I felt the Lord was giving me the green light! Anyway, I think that’s all I have to share with you about it for now! Also I don’t want you all to think that I am wishing away this current season because I am so grateful for this opportunity and there is no place I would rather be right now then on the Race. I’m savoring ever moment and day I have left on the Race, and I am expectant for all the Lord is going to do here on the field in the next 4 months! I just want to keep you all in the loop with what the Lord is doing in my life! Okay that’s actually it now haha. Thank you so much for reading my blog and for following my journey!
