Hey folks!

My name is Kelsey Troutman, I am 27 years old and was born/raised in Atlanta, Georgia. Currently I am finishing my Master of Kinesiology at Georgia Southern University. Prior to my master’s, I received my B.S. in Exercise Science from the University of Tennessee where I played collegiate soccer. Go Lady Vols! I am the oldest of four (Kelsey, Max, Taylor, and Ben) and family is a big part of my life. One of the biggest blessings in my life was growing up with a special needs brother. Ben taught me what selfless love is and he is a big part of why I am so passionate for helping others.

I have a desire to make an impact on this world and to go out and reach those in need. When I was little I said I was going to become the President of the United States and cure cancer. I believe at some point in my life I will be working in the Medical field. Right now I am chasing after God’s heart and continuing to become the Daughter He calls me to be. I am so grateful for the desire He placed in me to do mission work, especially to embark on the World Race with an amazing team.

A little more about me…

My favorite food is Mexican. I am adventurous and love doing anything outdoors. I am very passionate for exercise and overall wellness. I have a German Shorthaired Pointer named Maddox who has more energy than any person I know. I love sunsets, campfires, sunflowers, a good cup of coffee, good books, and just being around people I love. I have a passion for working with special populations especially special needs children. I play all sports however soccer is my forte. I love working with others and being hands on. My spiritual gifts are Exhortation, Wisdom, Helps, and Administration. I am an avid Baker and Cook.

 I look forward to the adventures ahead and trust in the Lord with all my heart. From now until launch and throughout our race, I pray that my team and I always look to Him first.

but those who hope in the Lord
    will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
    they will run and not grow weary,
    they will walk and not be faint.” (Isaiah 40:31)

Cheers!

Kels
