Yes, you read correctly. To the great state of Georgia (though we all know Ohio is the best). During my Race, I was presented with an opportunity to do something called The Fellowship through Adventures in Missions. It’s just one of many programs they have available for Race alum such as myself. I will break down what it is and how I came to this decision:

What is The Fellowship?
It’s a 6 month program (per their words) “to equip future leaders with tools, resources, and confidence necessary for the realization of their Kingdom potential in the workforce. With a focus on professional and leadership development, The Fellowship helps high capacity developing leaders translate a kingdom lifestyle into the workplace under mentorship and guidance in the context of healthy community.

The Fellowship covers three main areas of spiritual, professional, and personal development. I will have a spiritual mentor who will disciple me in the Lord, a professional mentor who will develop me one on one as a leader, and I will be working on a project at Adventures. The type of projects vary, as Fellows are available to work in every single department in Adventures.

How did I come to this decision?
Truth be told I actually cast it aside though I interviewed for it on my race. I thought it was going to be more corporate and I wasn’t about to go back into something I left. Although, after this recent Project Searchlight, speaking with current Fellows, and a couple squad mates I found it not to be the case. God showed me on my race my purpose in life is to reveal him in the unseen, and he showed me ways in which to use my creative giftings to glorify him in that manner and bring Kingdom. The Fellowship will continue to show me how to develop that purpose, different callings in which to fulfill that purpose, and give me an opportunity to potentially kickstart ideas he has planted in my heart.

My vision
As you know I love photography and I got the privilege of taking some incredible shots to share with all of you. A potential option is I could impart this as a training for future racers of how they can use their creative gifts to bless their hosts and squad. Adventures had a Storyteller section that collects pictures, videos, and blogs of racers experiences to share. I’ve also mentioned to some about a photo book project with pictures and journal entries from my race cataloging my story and those I met. Adventures has a vision to create something similar as a coffee table book using pictures and blogs gathered over the years.

I need your help!
I actually have to fundraise again. At the top of this blog you can see a stat bar with the amount which is $9,950. Just like my race I have deadlines:

March 1st- $3,000
May 15- $6,500
August 1st- full amount

This money covers living expenses as well as my stipend for other expenses. It’s like a paid internship of sorts. I will be moving in on March 18 to begin and will go through September. You can give online as you did for my race, and get a tax deduction!! Yay!

All this being said, I am very excited for where this may take me, and I wouldn’t have made it this far if not for God’s blessing, your prayers and donations that helped me do the race, and now this next season of growth. I ask that you partner with me once again. I plan to give a presentation of my race soon and if you have any questions please contact me. Thank you so so much!
