Dear Friends and Family,

Hi there, for those of you who don’t know me, my name is Kelsey Shreve. I graduated last May from Tennessee Tech University with a degree in Elementary Education. Currently, I am a nanny for the wonderful Beeler family. I also attend and volunteer as a small group leader for high school girls at Faith Promise Church. Through Faith Promise, God has given me several opportunities to do things I didn’t think I was worthy of doing.

I have always had a heart for loving and teaching children and loving on God’s people of other countries. Through Faith Promise I attended my first mission trip to Honduras for a week two years ago. There my heart found a new home, I fell in love with the people. They had nothing, yet were so willing to give me their last bit of food or water. I returned back to Honduras this year and I found myself yearning even more to be apart of something greater.

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.” –Joshua 1:9

God is calling me to trust Him and His plan for me for a longer period of time. Recently I have been praying about where God wants to send me and I have finally received a confirmed answer. God has placed the World Race into my heart and I have made the next step in applying. I received the phone call and now I am on the journey into something way bigger than myself.

The World Race is an 11-month mission trip to 11 different countries around the world. One of the unique things about the World Race is that it’s not only a mission trip but also an intensive discipleship program designed to launch my generation into our specific kingdom calling. Through the World Race, my team and I will serve in partnership with churches and ministries in local communities to preach the Gospel, plant churches, work in orphanages, rescue children being used in human sacrificing, reach out to women and children trapped in prostitution as a result of human trafficking, and bring the restorative hope of the Father’s love to many tribes and nations.

I will face many challenges all throughout the World Race, but as I prepare for my departure in July, one of my greatest challenges is my financial support. Like most other mission organizations, World Racer participants are required to fundraise financial support. In order to leave fully funded in July, I need to raise 16,000 dollars. The money will cover all of my field expenses for the 11 months of my trip. As I take this large step of faith in trusting the Lord, would you prayerfully consider joining me in the fundraising process?

There are many ways that you can help support me. You can write a check to Adventures in Missions and send it with my Adventure card and already stamped envelope that I sent to you. You can make a one time donation, monthly donation, or yearly donation. You can also send me, Kelsey Shreve, a check to

If you have any questions about the World Race or would like to see my World Race presentation, I would love to meet with you or talk with you over the phone. I know that money is tight for most people, especially at this time of year but I know that God has a plan and that He is faithful. Thank you for taking your time to read my letter, and just start lifting me and my team up in prayer as God leads us to a place where our Trust is without borders!
