The race was one of those amazing, once in a lifetime experiences. Or so I thought.

Yes it was amazing. Yes it was life changing. Yes it allowed me to make a difference. No it is not once in a lifetime.

I’M GOING ON THE RACE AGAIN!!!

But this time it’s going to look a lot different. I’m not going as a racer, I am going as a squad leader. This time, in addition to working with the pastors and missionaries in every country, I will be working with the world racers as well. The race takes people on this amazing journey around the world, but it also takes them on a personal journey. People are confronted with their personal short comings as well as with the short comings of the world. Living in community all day every day while serving others and sharing Jesus is NOT an easy thing to do which is why I will be there to help, encourage, guide, and strengthen racers during their first 5 months of the race.

(My Whole Squad Month 5 of the race)

You see, God spoke this to me in September.

He asked me if I trusted him.

(Warning: if God asks you that at the beginning of a conversation, you know it’s going to be big)

I said of course I do.

And then He dropped the bomb: do you trust me enough to follow me into the unknown, the unexpected.

After taking a deep breath and telling myself to be brave, I said yes. That’s when He told me my next three steps in life: CGA, Squad leading, and the last one is a secret between God and me.

(CGA Field Leadership Track with Bill and Travis our leaders)

I will be finishing CGA (Center for Global Action) in early May. It has been one of the best and trying seasons of my life. I spend my days learning about leadership and connecting with missionaries and organizations in Europe who one day might be hosting our teams. I’ve been learning about myself. My strengths and weaknesses. Who I am and what God has for me. It has been more than I expected. What God has for me is ALWAYS more than I could expect.

So next is Squad leading in July and I am so Excited about it!!  This was a big decision for me. I’m leaving behind my family and friends once again.  I’m signing up to be at the service of others at all times. This isn’t about me, it’s about THEM. The 55 racers who are longing for something more, wanting to know the heart of God more, hoping to make a difference in the world. But I know it will be more amazing than I could ever imagine!

Will you pray for me? Will you pray for peace as I walk into this season? Pray for my squad. Pray for my co-leaders. Pray for my family and friends as we say goodbye again. Pray for the funds to come in.  Pray about how you can help me.  Will you be a part of this journey with me? Will you join with me to advance the Kingdom of God throughout the world?

I need to raise $6,500 to Squad Lead.

As always, I am deeply grateful for all of your continued prayer, encouragement, and spiritual and financial support. I couldn’t even dream of doing this without you.
