Hope does  not disappoint.

God promises us that in Romans.
And today he delivered.

Today my team and I went to speak at a drug rehab facility.
It was nice enough place with 12 men currently enrolled in their program.
After arriving, we walked down a small path to their meeting center and out of the corner of my eye, I saw a small elderly women walking with a Limp and a Cain.
And I thought, man I hope she comes to the service so we can pray for her.

As we were setting up for worship and our skit, I noticed her walking into the room and she sat down in the chair right next to my things. After giving her a hello in Thai, we began to worship. And all during worship I was thinking about how much I wanted to give her a hug and let her know that she is loved. ( physical contact is not a common or accepted thing in Thailand, especially in public places). But I hoped that God would give me a chance to do what he was calling me to do.

After singing, performing, speaking,  and praying with two men who decided they wanted God to be part of their lives, we had time to serve them and encourage them. While passing out snacks, Pastor Ed spoke to the group about the little old lady in the chair.  She was paralyzed on her left side and wanted prayer.

Here it was. The answer to my hopes and prayers. What I had been asking for. I rushed to her side along with the rest of my team. And we prayed. We prayed for restoration of her body. For the whole ness God created her with to be returned to her. That nerves would regain feeling and that the love and power of the Holy Spirit would be upon her.

And we opened our eyes. Filled with hope and belief that God did what we asked. So we asked her to move her arm, and she COULD. For the first time since her paralyzation she could straighten her arm.

Hope never disappoints.
God never disappoints.
He is so faithful to his children.

So we praised God for what he did and celebrated with the sweet lady who had just been touched by God. We hugged. We laughed.

We left that place filled with even more hope. And hope is powerful.
