Honduras top 6 (I couldn't pick just 5!)

6 The Mountain. We got the amazing privilege to spend three days outside the small city of Erandique, Honduras. Way up in the middle of nowhere, this was definitely one of the most Gorgeous places I've ever been. It's surrounded by trees and has a view that can change your life. At one point during our stay we were literally inside of a cloud that's how high up we were.
We got to reunite with some of our favorite squadmates, hold a service for locals, hike a mountain, climb a waterfall, pray over a pastor and his family, and see a women's eyes be healed. It was an amazingly full 3 days. But my favorite part was after a Bon fire on the first night and the star gazing we got to do.

5 Radio. One of our ministries this month was an hour long radio show on Saturdays. We would travel to gracias, which is a bigger City about 45 minutes away from San Juan. The show is done on a secular station and is heard in all over the country of Honduras. On the first Saturday I was asked to speak so I shared a little bit of my testimony and the power of the gospel. We had a ton of people calling in and asking for prayer for themselves and their families.

4 Marta's house. One of the ladies we got to know really well this month, is Marta. Marta spent many a days cooking for us and laughing at our horrible Spanish. We discovered that she walks three hours to church every Sunday when she can get permission from her abusive husband to come. She takes care of her 4 kids, as well as her brothers 4 kids because their mom died and he is jail. We got to go visit her at her house and meet all of her kids, as well as pray for her husband.

3 Fiestas- this was a party month. We celebrated Jefferson's 14 birthday and we also had a sleepover with some of the teenage girls we had gotten to know while here. For Jefferson's birthday we cooked a typical American meal: fried chicken, Mac and cheese, sweet tea, and cake. We also had a cake eating contest, played Dutch blitz, and got to give him a new football as a present. At out sleepover we had a dance party, ate junk food,  played cards, and watched a movie. It was the first time the girls had ever had a sleepover and they had a blast.

2 Church time- we stayed in the church we attended this month and because of that we got to meet so many amazing people who came to services and the other random times during the week they would stop by to say hi. On our first Sunday at church we saw a mans arm get healed and on our last day at church they all gave us hugs with tears in their eyes thanking us for what we had done for them and how much of blessing we were. But they blessed us so much more. They reminded me the power of God that is inside of us when we truly expect him to move and show up. They expect so much from God, it is inspiring.

1 Family time- this month our host was pastor sebastian and his amazing family. A main part of ministry was spending time with them. Norma, pastor Sebastian's wife, spent the whole month cooking three amazing meals a day for us. I loved helping her make tortillas (which was way more complicated than I thought), listening to music with her, attempting to speak spanish with her, and hearing her laugh, which pastor Sebastian said she rarely did before we got here. They have three awesome kids: Sara who is in high school and studies like crazy, Jefferson a 14 year old who we got addicted to card games and computer games, and Abigail who is one of the feistiest 3 year olds I have ever met. She runs the show and she knows it. She also loves to dance, wear dresses, and give kisses. We spent many a nights playing cards with the family and sitting around the table laughing and talking with them.
