Star gazing took on a whole new meaning in the mountains of Honduras. We got the amazing privilege to spend three days outside the small city of Erandique, Honduras. Way up in the middle of nowhere, this was definitely one of the most Gorgeous places I've ever been. It's surrounded by trees and has a view that can change your life. At one point during our stay we were literally inside of a cloud that's how high up we were.
We got to reunite with some of our favorite squadmates, hold a service for locals, hike a mountain, climb a waterfall, pray over a pastor and his family, and see a women's eyes be healed. It was an amazingly full 3 days. But my favorite part was after a Bon fire on the first night.
The sky was full of stars. They shone brighter and clearer than I had seen in my life. And as I was sitting on a bench amazed by how great my God is who created all of this, I had the desire to be even more amazed by him. So I asked the God of wonders to show me a shooting star.
And he did.
Then I heard him whisper, "I hear you daughter."
So I asked in faith to see another shooting star.
And he gave me another one.
Then he said, "ask me for more."
But I didn't want to get too greedy, so I asked for one more.
And I heard him say, "why must you limit me? Why must you put my power in a box?"
So I asked to see 10 more.
And he gave me another one.
And then I waited and waited. Expecting 7 more. And they didn't come. So I went the next night, but it was so cloudy that I couldn't even see one star shining. But god whispered, "you will. I've got 8 and a half more moths to show you 7 more. Expect them. Wait for them. "
I can't help but think that what he was speaking to me wasn't just about stars. This journey has barely begun, and yet he has done so much. But we still have so much more to do and see. God was just telling me to get ready, there is more. So much more. He has only just begun.
