Costa Rica top 5:

5. Worship on the balcony- at the team house we were staying at we have the most amazing views. There are two garage door windows that open up on the second floor. You can see so much of Costa Rica from those windows, mountains, volcanoes, and neighborhoods. After a long day of ministry we decided to have a worship secession on the balcony. Worshipping god while seeing his creation was powerful. He revealed so much to me and my squad mates that night.

4. Jaco beach- on our first sabbath we went to Jaco beach. Although its the closest beach to alajeulita ,which was where we stayed, it was quite a journey to get there. 2 buses and a couple miles walking in the crazy busy city of San Jose. But man was it worth it. The ocean was AMAZING! We got to explore, take some awesome pictures, eat at a non-sketchy  restaurant, and meet up with some other squad mates who were working there. It was exactly what I wanted it to be… A relaxing adventure.

3. Black and white party- we have some amazing guys on our squad. They take such good care of us. One way they did that this month was by creating a dance club in our team house, complete with a dj, bouncer, and bar tender. It was a great night filled with joy and really solidified us as a squad.

2.child sponsorship- 6:8 ministries pours out to the people of alajeulita in so many different ways, but one of my favorites was child sponsorship. We got the privilege of organizing and passing out school supplies and uniforms to over 120 children. Without these materials, children in costa rica are not able to attend the free public schools Costa Rica offers them. Most families in Costa Rica consist of a young, single mother with several young children from different fathers. This cycle repeats itself over and over again in alajeulita. One of the purposes of the sponsorship program is to provide an education for children in hopes that they will come to know Christ and put a stop to that cycle.

1. Verbana. This is one of the most beautiful and heart breaking places I've ever been to.  It is also one of the most impoverished and dangerous areas in alajeulita. The children there captured my heart and I loved seeing all the doors The Lord was opening while we were there.
