So at the beginning of our journey in LaCama the Lord put a particular lady on my heart, this lady I dreamt about and continued in my thoughts many times throughout every day. Though she was blind in both eyes I saw her with dark brown beautiful eyes. Towards the end of our time we had a church service and called all those who wanted prayer over illness or disease to come be prayed over. I had been asking the Lord for a time or two to see her and allow the Spirit to heal her sight. Jordan and I had the opportunity to speak life into her (though it was not in her language) and pray for restoration of her sight that night in church. It was a heavenly night I must say, the presence of the Lord took over. After service on the walk home I was asking the Lord for another time to pray over her. I had a vision that we might see her on our day of departure, and to be more specific we were going to be in the bus leaving the village. Well departure day came and I did not see her before we got in the bus, though it seemed like the entire village came to say bye, she was not one of them. I searched and searched and asked the Lord for just one more time to hug her neck and pray over her. We got in the bus to leave and Jordan and I looked at one another and said “we will see her”. Though we had no idea where she lived we began to search out all the huts as the bus passed them by. I began to doubt the further we got away from our house. .. we saw her… at the same time Jordan and I looked at each other with tears in our eyes and yelled to stop the bus. The driver pulled over at the top of the hill and we sprinted down to the house were we saw her standing in the doorway. We walked through the doorway and there she was in the middle of the house sitting in a chair all alone. Now think of this, as our bus passed we saw her in the doorway looking toward the road but when we arrived back at her house she was sitting in a chair away from the door.. if she had been sitting in her chair when we drove by we would have never seen her. Someone had to have led her to stand in the doorway as we passed and then led her back to the chair. God has his timing which is always perfect. Anyhow I held her little hands and we began to weep and pray to our King for restoration of sight. Matthew 10:7-8 “and proclaim as you go, saying, ‘the kingdom of heaven is at hand.’ Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse lepers, cast out demons. You received without paying; give without pay.” Matthew 9:8 “.. and they glorified God, who had given such authority to men.” Speaking of the authority to heal the paralyzed. Now though I did not literally “see” my old friend healed I have comfort from God knowing she WILL BE in his greater timing. There will be a day where she does not need someone to lead her to a chair or walk in front of her guarding her footsteps. She is healed because we have authority from God to do such works in his name, to give him glory. I praise God that I did not physically see restoration, because I understand the power of the Lord is not me but only from Him. He does not need my touch or prayer to heal his people. He can do so in his own timing. Though we are designed to long for such miracles nothing will stop me from believing if I see or if I don’t see. God is always good. She is healed!
