This past month in Swaziland, Jesus has been revealing His love to me. I have always known he loves me, well because “the Bible tells me so.” But up until this month, I haven’t actually felt his love…or at least was not able to recognize it. During listening prayer, God has been revealing to me through love letters me how much he loves me, and it has completely transformed me. He has shown me that his love far surpasses any feelings of love I will ever experience on this earth, and how much He wants to pursue my heart.
Love Letter #1:
Beloved, look at what I have created. Look at yourself. You are made in the image of the invisible God. You are made perfectly and made with my perfect love.
Love Letter #2:
Kelsey,
You are far too concerned with pursuing a husband more than you want to pursue me. Pursue me more. I am your groom. Your thoughts are too cluttered with these things. Focus on me. Wait on me. Be patient. I am preparing a place for you. So far greater than anything in this world can offer you. You are far too easily pleased. Don’t you know how much more love I have for you compared to the love you are trying to find in this world? You need to be patient. I know exactly what you need, and who you need. Rely on me first. Set your eyes on me.
Love Letter #3:
You will never understand how much I love you.
I love you that much.
You need to get to a place where you realize nothing in this world will love you as much as I do.
Can’t you see that?
Can’t you see how much I love you?
Open yourself up to me so that you can finally feel my love.
I want to pursue you – Pursue me.
I want all of you, everyday for the rest of your life.
I adore you.
I treasure you and your heart.
God is pursuing me like a groom pursues his bride. Throughout the rest of my life, I know that I don’t have to try to fill the voids in my life with worldly desires. God is love; and His love is enough to complete me in every way.
