Jesus loves you. Chances are you have probs heard this sometime in your life. But really, he does love you. It’s such a simple statement but I am learning the deepness and richness of it more and more.

One of my favorite worship songs is How He Loves (if you have never heard this song please search it and listen to it now. It’s totes worth your time.) in the song my favorite lyric is, “If grace is an ocean than we’re all sinking.” While being in El Salvador my team and I visited El Tunco Beach which is right on the Pacific Ocean on our off days and after visiting, these lyrics will never be the same for me again.

Being a newbie to the ocean and going in the water at El Tunco I had no idea what I was getting myself into. The waves are gigantic, fierce, and never ending. This ocean is truly captivating. The waves came crashing, threw me around, and I ended up doing a weird somersault in the water and landed face down in the sand. Time after time I would wipe out and end up with salt water up my nose and sand all up in my eyeballs.

That’s when the song, How He Loves, hit me. Grace is a word that gets thrown around a lot and I am guilty of forgetting the power that grace has. The definition of grace is, unmerited divine assistance given to humans for their sanctification. Jesus died and paid everything so that we don’t have to receive what we are meant to receive, death.

Sometimes in my life I try to resist Gods’ grace. I think that I’m strong enough to stand against the gigantic waves of life by myself but end up getting taken away by the powerful waves to the beach lonely and by myself. Or I think that I can figure out my life and future better on my own, and don’t listen to Gods’ voice, but every time I end up doing that I end up face down with sand in places that shouldn’t be there. But still every single time God is there to pick me up again. Gods’ grace is powerfully Grace isn’t this concept or theory, grace is Jesus Christ.

So drown in Jesus. Let His love and His unlimited 2nd chances take you away by the waves of grace. Be captivated by Jesus because He loves you so much.

We are never too far from the hand of God. No matter our past Jesus has never ending grace for every single person. His love is a personal love. And that’s a beauty of the gospel. Jesus’ love for you is gigantic, fierce, and never ever ends.

How He Loves you and me so much.
