Hello friends!!
I've only been in Honduras since Tuesday and already I can see so clearly how God is at work in Talanga.
This month my team is separated from the squad in Talanga, Honduras and we will be working with a ministry called Heart of Christ (heartofchristhonduras.org). Mama Gracie and her husband Lee are beautiful people who truly live by faith and in the power of God.
We have the privilege to be working with girls who are pregnant from rape or incest and children with special needs. No other program in the state existed for these kinds of cases before Gracie and Lee. It fills me with so much joy serving alongside them.
The hardest part about the world race so far has, without a doubt, been the language barrier. I connect with so many different people and I always find myself in a place wishing that I could convey more to them, but am unable to given my limited Spanish proficiency.
Despite this difficulty, I find hope.
Even though we can't always communicate with words that we want to, we can always love. That is one power that transcends all language and cultural barriers through faith in Christ.
Wifi has been limited the past two months, but I will definitely be sharing more details and specific stories next Sunday, you have my word! So please keep an eye out ( :
