In Nepal, it is monsoon season. For those who don't receive much rain, it means it rains EVERYday several times a day or all day. Most of the time we are prepared with rain jackets or inside when the rain hits.
One day we were interceding at a Hindu temple when the rain started. It rained for awhile so we prayed some more and heard more of our translators testimony. Finally, it was getting close to time for children's ministry; our translator suggested we pray for the rain to STOP so we can make it to the next place. Please reread that sentence. We prayed for rain to STOP. This went against everything this West Texas girl has known for the past 20+ years. I am glad I wasn't the only one praying because honestly my heart wasn't in the prayer for rain to stop. The rain slowed down enough for us to make it to the house without being caught in a downpour.
The rain has been awesome to watch. We have been caught in a few downpours, but we make it wherever we are going just fine.
I am thankful God knows our hearts when we pray. While it is hard for us to pray for certain things, God always knows what we mean and what we need.
