Our squad made it safely to Nepal after a very long journey (we flew from Atlanta to Chicago to Delhi, India and then to Kathmandu.) When we arrived at the airport, we split into our teams to do ministry. My team (Aperture) is working with Golden Arrows. We are sharing the love of Jesus to people in the valley of Kathmandu and surrounding areas.
So far ministry has been really good. We mainly do house ministry (1-2 times a day)- this includes singing in Nepalese and sometimes English, with a word of encouragement/challenge and/ or a testimony given by a team member, intercession for the people and purchasing land for church, and more worship. We hike (yes, hike and not walk) sometimes uphill both ways to visit these homes, but it is good.
My team has spoken to the YWAM students about worship, shared testimonies and messages. Right now we are preparing a 3 day seminar over the Great Commission.
The girls had to have outfits made- pictures to come soon hopefully.
*** I didn't bring my computer with me so I will not be posting much or often. I will post when I can, that may mean more than one blog at a time coming your way.
Thank you for all your love and support!
