Training Camp was one of the BEST weeks ever!!!!

I was pretty nervous going in but I can say I left truly excited about the next year and people I will be spending it with. I was so thankful for Angela and Mary coming to meet me at baggage claim. They are wonderful women of God and I am honored to call them friends!!!!

Me, Mary and Angela we were excited about chips!

So, out camp was in White, GA. If you haven’t been to Georgia or have been in West Texas forever, it was GREEN! It was also humid, hilly, and rainy a few days. It was beautiful and the rain was nice to see and to come back home to.

Drying out our tents from rain and dew. Look at the green!

So much happened in such a short period of time. We had lectures for a few days and team formation activities towards the end of the week. Everyday was different. From foods we ate, the little bit of 'culture' we learned, and what we learned and experienced.

There is a lot of vagueness surrounding the World Race and it used to worry me, but after last week I think I understand it a little more. We never know what will happen on the Race and must be flexible and prepared to do ministry in whatever conditions we have. At camp, they only gave us enough information to get to the next mealtime or morning really. It was kind of nice to not have a set schedule. I tried going into Training Camp with very few expectations – and it wasn’t too hard since I couldn’t find too much about Training Camp in blogs. This helped me open my mind and just let God work however He wanted.

I was able to see God in so many ways.  Our speakers were great and worship was unbelievable. I am not sure I have ever been in one place were so many hearts were on fire for God and everyone had the same mission in their hearts. This week definitely opened my eyes and helped me take God out of the box.

I wish I had better words to explain everything. If you have time and want to talk, you can call me or we can meet up – I would love to share more. 🙂

One of the main points of Training Camp was to meet my squad and my team. G-squad was awesome. Everyone is friendly, kind, on fire for God and excited about the Race. I am eager to learn more from them during the next year as we go out to share the love of God.

My team is going to rock this next year. I am part of Team Aperture;  wider the aperture the more light we let in, the better our perspective becomes. Since we fill ourselves with more light and gain perspective from others around us we in turn shine out light out into the world. We shine God's love on others – this is the interpretation from our team leader, Nate. I can’t wait to get to know these people better.

In the back is Bekah, Sarah, Courtney, Will, Myles, Nate and me = Team Aperture!!!

Training Camp was an awesome experience and I was able test my gear. Most of it worked out great but I do still need a few things/ adjust some things. If you would like to contribute to my Race that way, you may go http://www.myregistry.com/visitors/?registryid=513735. My shipping address should be on there, but please contact me with any questions.

Please be in prayer for our teams/squad as we all meet back up in Atlanta for Launch on June 29/30. We leave July 3 for Nepal!!!!! I will be blog more about the countries and order.

I am not yet fully funded, if you would like to help, you may click the Support Me link on the left hand side.

Thanks for all your love and support. I definitely can't do this on my own, it has taken several people to help me get where I am today. I appreciate everyone that has helped in any way.
