On March 12th I was accepted to the World Race. Shortly after that I committed to go and the fundraising began.

The price tag for the Race is quite large – $16,962. This amount breaks down to about $50 a day while on the Race and covers lodging, meals, transportation, and other such fees.

While $16,962 is no joke, neither is my God.

I know you’ve probably heard the story about me hanging up on my mom after she told me we couldn’t afford the Race. And you’ve probably heard what I told her after she said that –

“If God wants me to go, He will provide.”

And yes, I believed that from the beginning – but that doesn’t mean it was easy.

Just because I believed God would provide the money doesn’t mean that I didn’t question and doubt Him at times.

However, every time I doubted Him, He showed up in ways bigger than I could ever imagine.

Like the time He provided over $1,500 at a yardsale.

Or when another missions team gave me $1,000 dollars of their hard-earned money.

When women’s’ groups/classes took up love offerings for me.

When people bought t-shirts or doughnuts.

                When donations poured in online.

When people chose numbers from the board and donated that amount.

When individuals approached me to give money and say that they were praying for me.

When I opened my mailbox to find sweet cards filled with checks and words of encouragement.

Every time you donated, God showed up.

Whether it was $200 or $2 – God used every penny to get me here to this point.

He used you – right here where you are, using what you have.

So THANK YOU!

THANK YOU for being obedient – for giving when the Lord said give.

THANK YOU for being selfless – for giving when you didn’t have much to give.

THANK YOU for believing – in me and in this journey to tell other about Christ.

THANK YOU for praying – for myself, my family, and my squad.

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!

I could say it a million times and it still wouldn’t be enough.

I may be the one traveling to these 11 countries – but you are the reason that I am able to go.

My prayer from the beginning was to be fully funded before launch in January.

With your help that prayer was not only answered – but exceeded.

My God is bigger than $16,962. Much, much bigger.

Two little words that I’ve been dying to say…I am FULLY FUNDED!!!!

Please note, if you continue to donate through the “Support Me” link in my blog, I will no longer receive those funds. Instead they will go straight to Adventures in Missions – a great organization that is doing awesome things for the Kingdom. Nonetheless, funds placed in this account from here on out will not support me on the Race.

If you are still interested in supporting me please contact me at [email protected] or 615-417-1052. I still need vaccinations and medications, both of which are very pricey. In addition, many of my squadmates still need funds and would be more than grateful for your support. Thank you!
