Hey guys! =)
My name is Kelsey Ballou, like the bear from the Jungle Book!
I’m the one in the teal shirt in the picture above!
I have lived almost my ENTIRE life in Virginia Beach, VA, except when I was in college. During my college years I lived in Lynchburg, VA. Just so you know, going from the flat land to the mountains, the sand to the snow, that takes a major adjustment period! Let’s just say I’ve learned I thoroughly enjoy the warmer weather! Don’t get me wrong, the mountains are BEAUTIFUL…when it’s warm outside!
I am the oldest child in a family of…
The answer to that question depends on the number of foreign exchange students we currently have living with us! BUT, I like to claim that I am the oldest of 10 children, because let’s be honest…once you’ve lived with someone for between one and four years, you basically become family. They’re all my siblings regardless of whether we have the same biological parents or not.
Let’s see, what else can I share with y’all so you can get to know me a little better…
I enjoy playing soccer, I’m not that great at it though.
I enjoy running – I would LOVE to complete a half marathon one day! Maybe I’ll train for it while I’m on the World Race..! (This will be my second attempt at training for a half, the last attempt ended in me having surgery *boo!*)
My favorite colors are pink, green, blue and teal – the last one is subject to change lol.
I am 25 years old and am the shortest in my family. Yes, the shortest out of all 10 kids and both parents.
I’m was a Physical Therapy Tech before the World Race and have realized my favorite part of my job was being able to talk to people about God.
I began personally pursuing a relationship with God the summer I graduated from college, the summer of 2014. From that moment on my entire life changed direction. I did not realize how drastically God was impacting my life in the moment, though I felt the presence of the Holy Spirit. Looking back I now realize I was walking down one road and in a moment God captured my heart and began taking me down the path He had intended for me all along…
