Hi,
I'm Kelsey. Or… one of the Kelseys. I looked around the T squad blogs a bit, and there are three of us. Haha it happens.
I graduated from Indiana University in May of 2012 with no idea with what was coming next. I majored in health administration– I have a BS in public health, but it wasn't until after I graduated when I realized what kind of career I could envision for myself– global health advocacy. College was not the greatest time in my life, and many, many things I wish I had done just did not happen, and frankly I’m not qualified for any jobs that sound interesting. So when I started applying for jobs, I thought "Is this it? Get a job that a hate for a couple years before applying to grad school and maybe someday doing something meaningful?” Currently, I am a part time nanny. The last year has been strange—slow and uncomfortable and sad but also healing and joyful and reflective. Someone at church mentioned the World Race to me, and the rest is history.
