I wanted to take you along for the journey with me. I wanted you to see and experience everything I am experiencing. You know, all the amazing things that God has and will be doing. Never did I think about being vulnerable with you, but taking away the vulnerability would be a misleading journey. So here I am to share everything with you.
I have a hard time loving others, and I’m definitely not the first… or second… maybe the last one to want to share about Jesus with others. I’m sure you’re thinking, wow she’s going on a missions trip, should someone like her even be going? Some of you may actually unfollow this blog in disbelief and frustration for supporting someone like me, but honestly, you’ll be missing out.
You’ll be missing out because this is the beginning of my journey, and I can’t wait to see the progress (no matter how long it may take). I’m inviting you to see a glimpse of my life and to hopefully show you how God can transform a heart like mine.
If it weren’t for this trip, I’d still be living my comfortable life. I’d be okay with where I’m at, I’d be okay with getting frustrated at every little thing and person, being totally self focused, and not wanting to share about this amazing gift I’ve received.
However, since God has guided me toward this trip, I am no longer okay with these things. I will be traveling the world to love everyone I meet and to share about this amazing love that God has for each and everyone of us (even though it’s something I’m continuing to learn each day too). I have a hard time with this now (especially those rude, undeserving of love people), but man I can’t wait for you to journey with me through this transformation. I can’t wait for you to see how God can transform someone stubborn like me. Stick around and come along for the ride, I promise it will be worth it 🙂
And to those of you thinking of trips like these, but don’t feel like you have it all together. It’s okay! If God is leading you, the best thing you can do is be obedient. People are being transformed by God each and every day, why not us?! Let’s go! Transformers unite!
