I just said goodbye to my parents, who I will not see again until July 2019. It was bittersweet— there was excitement and anticipation mixed with grief.

This past weekend was the Launch for August 2018 World Racers, and parents were invited to join for two of the four days of Launch.

Our parents had their own individual sessions, but we also had time together. The parents got to meet our leadership team and ask them questions, and I was thrilled that my mom and dad got to meet my people!

One night, parents and racers worshipped together. A lot of tears were shed during the worship service, as the Racers and their parents prepared to say goodbye to one another for 11 months.

Everyone prayed bold prayers over one another:

  • that both parents and Racers would be forever changed by this experience
  • for any spirit of fear or complacency to be broken
  • for the Holy Spirit to release a fresh outpouring over us
  • to walk in freedom and boldness and faith in Christ
  • for our trust in the Lord to be increased

This time with my parents was so precious. They have poured so much time and energy into helping me prepare for the World Race, and they have been so supportive from the very beginning of this process.

I am about to board my flight to Spain, where we will walk on the Camino for 10 days, then head to Morocco for 50 days! I’m so excited to see what will happen with such an extended amount of time in one country.

Currently, I only need to raise $241 in order to be fully funded! Hallelujah—thank you, thank you, thank you!

Please pray for life-giving conversations on the Camino, for boldness into what the Lord calls us to do, for unity on our teams, and for our hearts to be filled with His supernatural love so we are able to pour into everyone we come across.

God Bless!
