Dear Friends and Family,
I hope this letter finds all of you well. I am thankful that in my life I have been very blessed, with my health, finances and with my beautiful family. With blessings, I feel the responsibility to give back on every level. I try to do that daily. I feel like God has brought a fantastic opportunity into my life to grow me and to help me make a difference in the lives of others in different parts of the world. I’m trying to trust God’s will for me and remain in tune with where He wants me to be. I am going to be involved in an exciting adventure and I would like to share a part of it with you.
The group is called Adventures in Missions and is based out of Gainesville, Georgia. The world race is a mission effort that lasts over 11 months. My brother told me about this opportunity, he had a friend that participated in this program and it became a life changing experience for her. I have applied and been accepted to the World Race. We will be traveling into 11 countries. Those countries include New Zealand, Australia, Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia, Kenya, Uganda, Romania, the Ukraine and Eastern Europe. We will be leaving on Jan. 1, 2010. Information pertaining to this aspect of the program can be found at www.kellywilliams.theworldrace.org, Jan 2010 trip. My greatest desire in all of this is to be a vessel for God to use. However He plans to use us, I know He will bless me and my team for being willing to go and share His message of love with those in need. This has been a passion of mine since I was a young girl. Life has taken me down different roads and brought me back to this one for a reason and a purpose at this time in my life. I truly believe that!
I believe God is calling me to this specific task, and this is where you can help. I trust that he will meet my needs… possibly with your assistance. My prayer is that you will want to join with me prayerfully and financially to go where God is leading this team. As Christians, I believe we are all called to fulfill the Great Commission of taking the Good News of Jesus Christ to the world. Some of us pray, some of us give, and some of us go to fulfill this calling.
During this trip I am willing to take the next year and be a person who will go. I ask that you be a part of this trip in whatever way possible that you feel God is leading you. I would like to ask that you pray for all the members of this team and that we would be a positive influence on the people of the countries we visit. Also, please pray that I might grow in my relationship with God and gain a broader view of the world we live in. If you are interested in supporting this effort financially, I will need to raise a total of $13,800 for the year I will be gone. This money will go directly to AIM. AIM will then be responsible for paying for transportation, lodging, most meals, and most of my expenses while in the field. Your gift of spreading the gospel is tax deductible. Any amount that you feel God is leading you to give would be very beneficial. I do have to have $1000 in my account by Oct. 16th when mission training begins in Gainesville.
I have enclosed a response card and a pre-addressed envelope which invites you to be a part of this ministry. Please make checks payable to Adventures in Missions. The enclosed card will provide AIM with all of your necessary information. In turn, they will send you a receipt. They request that you send all donations by November 30th. Adventures in Missions is registered with the IRS as a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization. Donors will receive receipts for their gifts with the understanding that the disbursement of those gifts lies completely at the discretion of Adventures in Missions and that the gifts are non-refundable and non-transferable, per IRS regulations. Gifts may be tax deductible, please consult a tax advisor.
I am very excited about how God is going to use me and grow me thru this experience. I hope not only to be a blessing to those I serve but to you as well. My desire is to go on behalf of all of believers in Jesus Christ. I hope you will prayerfully consider being a part of my passion for Christ and this ministry.
