Lots of blog posts this week! I just got my shipment in of bracelets and I am super excited!
I have partnered with this awesome foundation called Threads of Hope. It’s a livelihood project started in 2003 by Alex and Chris Kuhlow. The bracelets are crafted by men, women, & children living in impoverished areas in the Philippines. By making these bracelets, they have been able make a life sustaining income and fostered a new sense of hope within their communities. Mothers and fathers are now able to provide and protect their children while bringing a sense of dignity to their family. What an awesome cause!
So here’s the scoop… I have two types of bracelets, round and flat. The round bracelets (right) are $2.00 each or 3 for $5.00. The flat bracelets (left) are $4.00 each or 3 for $10. I can accept cash or a check written out to me. I personally send in the proceeds to Threads of Hope each month. Also, if you don’t live in Indy, I can send them to you via snail mail! You just have to send me a check written out to me or pay me via Quickpay and I’ll get you bracelets ASAP! 50% of the proceeds will go back to the Threads of Hope foundation to continue to provide income for the people in the Philippines and the other 50% will be donated to my race fund! So its a WIN WIN for everyone!
If you aren’t a fan of wearing bracelets, that’s OK too! I would like to take some bracelets with me to hand out to the kiddos in countries that I visit. So you can buy some bracelets, pick out the ones you want, and then I will take them with me and give them to kids that I meet!
Comment here if you want some, text/call me with your order, share this with others that may be interested in helping out, and help me sell 1,000 bracelets for a worthy cause!
