It has been laid on my heart recently, by God and others, to reach out and boldly ask for financial support. The idea completely terrified me. I have found every excuse in the book to avoid it. That requires me to get completely out of my comfort zone and become very vulnerable with all of you. I live my world in a land of “yes” so hearing “no” is a tough hurdle to cross. I tend to take the “no” too personally and attribute it to something about me like “they don’t like me” or “they don’t think I’m good enough”. I have been sitting here crunching numbers trying to figure out how I can meet my next fundraising goal by giving what I have instead of asking you all for support. The anxiety, stress and worry began to set in. What if I don’t meet my goal? What if I can’t launch on September 5th? How can I make this work? Then the Lord stepped in. He reminded me that He has called me to this year of missions. He has laid the plans out for me and He’s working on the next steps in getting me there financially and spiritually. It is not for me try and control or interrupt what He has going on. He will put the people in my path that are going to help fund me. All I need to do is ask and trust that the Lord will provide no matter what the answer is.
So here it goes….
I am asking you for support. I must raise 100% of my funds in order to continue on this amazing journey that the Lord and I are on. I have been beyond blessed over the past few months with those of you that have graciously donated to my fund, prayed for my walk, donated gear, and so much more! There is still a ways to go and I need your help!
- I need to raise $1,400.00 more to reach my August 21st goal of $10,000.
- I would love to be fully funded by the time I leave which seems impossible but hey, God makes miracles happen every day! To be fully funded, at $16,267.00, I need $7,667.00 by September 5th.

Here are 11 ways that you can support me financially over the next month!
- Tithing – Donate what you would normally tithe to your church this coming month to my fund.
- On August 11th, donate $11.00 to my fund. On average I have 175 people read each of my blog posts. If 175 people donated $11.00 that would allow me to meet my August goal of $10,000!
- Instead of going out to eat on Friday, stay in and donate what you would normally spend on a meal to my fund whether it be a $5.00 meal or a $50.00 meal.

- Take all your spare change for the next month, put it in a jar, and then donate it to me! Those of you that already have jars, keep filling them up! I will be around to grab them mid August!
- If you are in Indy, come out to Roselli’s Pizza in mid – August (TBD on date!) to have a yummy meal and support my trip. They will be donating a portion of the profits to my fund!
- Total up how much you would normally spend during one week at Starbucks or your favorite coffee shop and donate that amount to my fund. I’m not asking you to give up yo’ Starbucks, just match it with a donation!
- Buy your own World Race Day! For a $25 donation, you can pick a date over the next year (Between September 9th and July 29th) that is your personal World Race Day. What this means is that you will get a personal email from me on that day of what we did and how God is working in our ministry, our host lives, and our team. If I don’t have wifi during your day, I PROMISE that you will get an email as soon as I connect to internet!
- I still have Threads of Hope bracelets for sale! $2 or 3 for $5 for rounds; $4 or 3 for $10 for flat. You are helping me as well as this awesome organization! It’s a win win!
- Too strapped for cash? That’s ok! Share my blog and this post on your Facebook/Instagram/Any social media to get the word out there! You never know who would be interested in helping me out!
- Pray with me! None of this would be possible without prayer and thanksgiving to our awesome God. Join me in praying for my squad, my team and all of our finances over the next month. We know that God is going to provide and that all the glory goes to him in the end!
