About me…. these sections are always so hard to fill out. I think pictures say a thousand words 
My name is Kelly and I was born in May of 1989 to my parents Gary & Vicki. My parents met when they were 13 at church. They didn’t end up dating until their 20s and got married at 30. They have been happily married now for 30 years. My mother is an angel. She is the rock that holds the family together as well as the support system for her kids. She is my best friend and I depend on her so much. My dad is hilarious and hardworking. He always has provided for our family and I respect him so much.
I have an older sister, Haley, and a younger brother Kevin. We are the best of friends and inseparable.
Haley has always looked out for the younger kids. She always was there to shelter us from harm. She is going to make the best mother one day. I would call her class with a little bit of sass. She is kind and warm hearted. She is friendly to everyone. She is so devoted to her work and helps people every day. I don’t know if she realizes what a role model she has been for me throughout my life. She recently just married the love of her life, Tyler so I gained a new brother-in-law as well! I love them both to pieces!
Kevin is hilarious. He will always be there to tell the joke and make you smile. He is my best friend. As much as he doesn’t want to admit it, he is a hopeless romantic. He wears his heart on his sleeve and will help anyone who needs it. He is hard working and owns his own business at the young age of 24. He is always the life of the party. He also has a sweet and gentle side to him. I grow to love and cherish him more every day.
I have a 4 year old Golden/Lab Mix named Lyla. I rescued her when she was 7 weeks old after college. She has been my side kick ever since. The hardest part about leaving is knowing that I won’t be able to see her for 11 months. Thankfully she has wonderful grandparents that love her almost as much as I do and are willing to take care of her for me!
This is my best friend of all time. Chloe and I have been friends since the beginning of high school and have been able to stay close through college and after. She is my best friend, my confidant, my biggest supporter, my ride or die chick, my second sister. I don’t know where I would be without her love and support or who I would go to couples thing with (haha) if I didn’t have her! She is so smart and outgoing. I envy her self confidence and her ability to charm any room she walks into. She is dedicated and loyal. She is so kind and thoughtful! I know that our friendship will survive 11 months away from each other because we just have that special bond!
I graduated from Indiana University (Go Hoosiers!) back in 2011. I received my Bachelors in Recreation Therapy. I also was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta. I have met some of my best friends through the sorority and loved every minute of my college days!
I love anything and everything that has to do with football. NFL Football Season is practically better than Christmas in my book. I live and breathe Indianapolis Colts (Go Horse!). I love music. I play the piano and sing. I like Country, Contemporary Christian, and Today’s pop hits. I also am an avid Broadway listener whether it be Wicked, Rent, or Les Miserables. I love the music and catch myself wanting to be the lead in the show from time to time! I have recently discovered a love of yoga (especially hot vinyasa). It helps me keep centered and grounded while also improving my physical health. I love to laugh and make others laugh. I try to not take life too seriously and look at it half full most of the time!
I am a daughter of Christ and redeemed by the Savior. I have no idea why God has called me to do his work but I am so willing to follow his plan. I am most looking forward to experiencing the beauty of his kingdom as well as his love being spread throughout the world in different ways. My biggest fear is leaving my family/friends as well as the comforts that America provides for us. I know that God will never leave my side though! I am so ready to deeper my knowledge of him as well as grow more intimate with one another. He has lit a fire inside of me and I am so ready to go!
