Life on the Race, Life in the Nations:

We are finally getting used to camping with chickens and roosters. Although, I woke up to one peeking into my tent the other morning… that was bit of a shock.

Selena continues to bless us with lots of food… check out the fish we had a few days ago… yep, fish head and all!!! (It was really good, but I left the sucking of the eye sockets to Amy!)

FYI, when you order “Agua con Limon” here you do not get a glass of water with a side of lemon… you get lemonade, with a lot of sugar in it. ๐Ÿ™‚

And, iced coffee, is a hot cup of coffee with a few ice cubes in it ๐Ÿ™‚

We returned to the Bible College again for a day of manual labor… and we got to eat sugar cane right out of the field!

We have a vision of a children’s ministry… there are so many children. They wave at us every time we pass in front of their houses. We have gotten to know many of the kids in the area and they run out to greet us in the streets.

On Saturday we had a sports ministry at the park.

I am not sure that the guys can keep up with these balls of energy all year ๐Ÿ™‚ !!!

This Saturday we will be performing drama’s in the main plaza here is Palenque followed by open air preaching (basically unscheduled and open to who ever is walking by). Please lift us up in prayer on both Friday night at 7 pm CST and noon on Saturday.

We have had several services at Noe’s church, which is held in his front yard!!!

The turnout at each service has been small, and until last night the teams were a bit discouraged. Mallorie and Eric really gave us perspective, that EACH service although only a few people show up, each time someone new has come, often just off the street, AND has accepted Christ as their Lord and Savior. We are reminded that Jesus, the great shepherd left the entire flock to go after the one lost sheep.

There are many lost sheep here. The spirit of alcoholism, addiction and oppression is heavy. Please continue to life all of our teams and ministries in your prayers. Please pray a covering over the community and the families of Palenque!

Today, we spent a few hours back at the drug and alcohol rehab center. Please lift these men up in your prayers. They are warriors, they are seeking God, seeking to be like Christ. We played volleyball with them and then I led a short bible study. After I led a time of reflection, 3 men stood and said God spoke to their hearts, calling them to be preachers, to go out into the world and share their stories with others who are held captive. Please lift up Hector in particular. As well as the 7 men accepted Christ today! AMEN JESUS!!!

God is at work here… thank you all for your prayers and your support. The Kingdom is getting stronger because all of you are running this race with me. Thank you and I love and miss you all!!!
