Time is flying! Less than two months till I leave! I’m at ease about everything, so much so that at times I’ve been worried about how underwhelmed I am.. but then again I think it’s a blessing and reassurance that I know it’s what I’m supposed to be doing.

I’m leaving for my training camp this Saturday morning bright and early. I’m heading to Georgia for a week where I get to tent with and meet everyone I will be living with for nine months.. as well as try out all of my gear.

Working at the Golf Course Restaurant I have a lot of customers ask me if I live out at the lake/what my plans are for the fall etc. So I have a lot of opportunity to share what about what I’m doing, which is awesome. However, one thing that I find funny is I almost always get the same reaction and MOST of the time people think I’m crazy. Which I really like haha. They usually begin with stories they’ve heard on the news, or about how it’s not safe for a “young girl like me” or this or that and I laugh politely (sometimes pretend to act naive or surprised) but honestly I know this is what I was made for.

Also, a heads up.. my wonderful and too amazing bff Hannah is throwing me a fundraiser on Thursday, August 21st. It is planned to be a “clothes swap” so set aside that date in your calendar if that interests you, but there will more on that soon I’m sure!

I would also like to say I have had approx two grand donated toward my trip and I could not be more blessed. So thanks a billion kajillion to those who have donated, it is so appreciated.
