It’s exactly two weeks till I leave and I can’t really explain how extremely blessed I feel. Last night was the Clothes Swap fundraiser and I definitely came out of it feeling like I was on a high. Thanks to my amazing friend Hannah for coming up with the idea and taking it onto herself to plan a fundraiser for me, and thanks to her and Matt for renting the space to do it. Thanks to Steven and Katherine for their support, and for making posters, baking, and helping set up. Thanks to Jessica, Nita, Monica, my mom, Matt, Hannah, Steven, Katherine, and everyone else who came early to help set up. And then thank you to everyone who came and donated, the generosity was incredible and we ended up raising almost 500 dollars!! I’m blown away and wish I could properly express my gratitude. I feel so loved, I really do have amazing people in my life and I’m really going to miss everyone over the nine months. I’m getting so excited to leave, and it’s so great leaving feeling so loved and knowing I have an amazing support system.
