WHO I AM

My name is Kelly Penner, and I’m from a small town called Landmark of about 2,000 people just outside of Winnipeg, Manitoba (just ranked the 4th coldest place in the whole world!!). I have a great family, two loving & supportive parents and two sisters who I am very close with, one older and one younger. My friends are a huge part of my life and I honestly don’t know where I would be without them, and they have somehow managed to keep me grounded up until applying for this trip. My boyfriend, Ryan, who I’ve been dating  for just over three years, is amazing enough to be in support of me leaving him for 11 months to fulfill my childhood dreams of being a missionary and travelling the world!! haha

After searching for a missions trip for what seemed like forever, I came across the World Race online this past summer, and felt drawn to it immediately. If you know me at all, I make about 100% of my decisions based on my feelings (hahaa) so naturally… I signed up immediately. I don’t think I’ll regret going with my feelings on this one.
