It’s a little after 8am and I’m sitting at the airport in Atlanta after five days of training in Georgia. Three of my teammates took me to the airport this morning really early. I am in awe of how closely God can knit hearts together in such a short amount of time. As I said goodbye to everyone last night and then early this morning I found myself wishing and praying I could stay until the end of training. Nevertheless I am grateful for the five days of intense bonding, stretching, challenging, praying, ministering, grieving, laughing, and crying.

There were hard times this week and no doubt there will be many challenges within the next year, but God has given us the same heart and the same vision: to be Christ everywhere to everyone; and to that end we rise!

Some of the highlights for me this week were:

• The instant bond with Kari and my other teammates!

• Hiking to the top of a “mountain” (just a hill by California standards) and leaving my burdens with the Lord.

• Thinking outside the box with Sarah during our team challenges and drinking WAY too much water. Go NAVY!

• Being challenged to truly LIVE by the Holy Spirit and to experience God outside of the box I’d put Him in.

• That ONE amazing shower at Unicoi State Park.

• Listening and learning from the amazingly wise staff, trainers, and prayer counselors with Adventures in Missions.

• Burning bridges and realizing how much I really have to give up and how much I really must die to self!

• Freezing my butt off!!!! (all for the Lord!)

• Getting to talk to and pray for the residents of Gainesville.

• Receiving peace and confirmation from the Lord about my place in the World Race.

Thank you to everyone who has prayed for me this past week. I have no doubts that He was faithful to answer each of those prayers.

As I come back home I begin the process of raising financial and prayer support. I would appreciate your continued prayer for this as I need to have 15 committed prayer partners and raise roughly $18,000 before September. I am full of faith and anticipation to see the giant ways God is going to show up and provide for me as He has so faithfully done already.
