The past week most of the Christian groups on campus joined together to form a club called “I found it too” or “ifit”. “I found it too” is a big media campaign. It means that I have found a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ. We sold lime green t-shirts, created a website, posted fliers, stakes, and balloons and created a newspaper just for this week. We tabled on the quad all week and brought a giant graffiti wall where people could answer the questions, “is there really something to find?” We went out on the quad to share our faith throughout the week in addition to having people come up to us and ask us what our “I found it too” shirts meant. On Friday we had a main event on the quad. We brought in a great apologetics speaker and Biola professor named John Rittenhouse. Two students also gave their testimonies on what they had “found” in Christ.

From what I know there were two people who accepted Christ during the week itself and then we have a bunch of contact cards to follow-up with from the main event on Friday.

Our shepherd team began planning this outreach back in September. There was SOOOO much work to get done. Creating a whole new club on campus specifically for this outreach was a big ordeal, not to mention all the media we had to create to make it happen. But to see 400 students wearing lime green t-shirts on campus, being bold to share their faith, and having two or more people begin a personal relationship with Jesus Christ was MORE THAN worth it!

On Thursday night at our weekly meeting we had an open mic time for people to share their experiences from the week. I was so impressed and almost brought to tears by some of the responses. We had students who had never shared their faith before step-up and out of their comfort zone and share the gospel with their classmates, roommates, and friends. As a shepherd team we’ve been praying all year for our students to catch the vision and heart for evangelism and for our leaders to be on-board with where our Crusade movement is going. On Thursday night I saw that prayer answered!!! I have no doubts that this movement will succeed and thrive when we (senior leaders) are gone next year.

At the same time I’m nostalgic… my time and my college ministry is done! I’m sad, but excited to start a new type of ministry!

Please pray:

• That I would finish my ministry strong.

• That I would be persistent to work on my thesis so that I can graduate!!

• That my support would come in, and more than that, that I would trust GOD’s provision!

• Praise that I have a missions-minded, biblical sending church (Reality Carpinteria). Pray that I would get involved in the community and serve while I am there this summer.

• That I would be able to find a part-time job while I’m at home in Santa Barbara this summer.

• That I would continue to cherish my last few weeks of my college career!
