Hey Everyone!! I am sooo excited to introduce you to my team- Team N.E.O.N.!!! I made a little video to introduce you to my team, but first let me explain the name to you. On Thursday afternoon of training camp we were placed on our teams and given one assignment- go make a memory. So our team decided that we would go to Goodwill and buy ridiculous outfits and wear them out to dinner. A perfect memory. While we were at Goodwill, we found and purchased a lot of neon outfits and hats that accent our team’s peronality perfectly. So when it came time to pick a team name- neon felt perfect. The name neon has two meanings. First, we liked the idea of bringing light everywhere we go. When we walk into a room with our neon hats- you can pick us out of a crowd. We hope it will be the same in all the countries where we minister. Second- we decided to have neon stand for Now Everyone Owns Nothing. This is to symbolise the sense of abandonment that we want for this trip- not only as it relates to material posessions, but also in the sense of being open as a Christian community.
