Wow! I am in awe of how excited and willing people are to help me with my Fundraising party! At first I was hesitant to ask for help. I didn’t want to bother people or add anything else to their “to do” list. However, I quickly learned that this is impossible to accomplish on my own and that I had to ask for help. The response from people amazed me. I am overwhelmed by the generosity of my family, friends, teachers, neighbors, and church family.
One of my best friends, Mackenzie, agreed to paint some new pieces just for my auction! She is SO dang talented that I cannot wait to see the final paintings! She even agreed to do custom self portraits for families if they want to order them. I am so thankful for all of her donated time, talent, and beautiful creations, but I am even more grateful for her emotional support and encouragement of me going on the race.
Mrs. Eller has graciously opened up her home for my party. Not to mention that she has guided me through the entire fundraising process. She has helped me brainstorm and get creative with fundraising. Most importantly she’s helped keep me sane through this slightly overwhelming and stressful process. Also, Rachel is driving home just to attend the party and support me. There’s no doubt that the Ellers are God sent!
My grandmother got an incredible picture donated from her friend and famous Atlanta painter, Jack Shields. Andrew Whited, Angela Whited, Meagan Brooker sent me some of their incredible photography to print out, frame, and sell. Liz Shinn helped me with the calligraph of quotes beautifully on refurbished pallet boards to make great wall art. I am not artistic at all, but I sure am grateful that my friends are!
I am overwhelmed at how willing people are to help me. I finally understand that I am not a burden to them. Instead, it is a joy for them to partner with me. I am beyond grateful for all of my friends and family that have supported me. Thank you!
