Hey y’all!
My name is Kelly Harrison. I am 22 years old. I was born and raised in Dunwoody, Georgia. Dunwoody is a suburb of Atlanta. I spent four amazing years at Auburn University. (War eagle!) This past May I graduated with a degree in Marketing and a Spanish minor. Since graduation I have been working with Keller Williams Realty. It has been a great first job, but there was no denying that the Lord had something different in store for me. After many signs it became obvious that The World Race is where he is calling me!
The route that I am on will serve in El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, and Chile! I don’t think that I could have hand picked a more perfect route! My whole life I have had a passion for Spanish speaking countries and their people. I have been on mission trips to Guatemala and the Dominican Republic. In college I spent a summer studying abroad in Costa Rica. Needless to say I am thrilled to return to Guatemala and Costa Rica as they both hold a special place in my heart. The Lord has given me a passion for the Spanish language, the spanish culture, and serving in these countries. To say that I am excited to see what the Lord has in store is a complete understatement.
Fun/Random Facts about me:
- I am obsessed with Country music and concerts! No road trip is too far if it is for a great concert! This past summer I traveled to Arlington, Texas for George Strait’s last concert of his farewell tour. It was hands down the best concert ever!
- I love homes. Weird, I know. I love getting to see different styles of homes, different floorplans, different decoration styles. Historic homes are my absolute favorite! I have a blast imagining who used to live there and what they used each room for.
- I can be reserved at first, but once I warm up to someone and feel comfortable I become extremely outgoing.
- I’ve been skydiving! My mom and I went for my 18th birthday.
- I love to travel! Clearly The World Race is perfect for me! To put it simply, I just love adventure!
- Pinterest is the coolest thing ever! I already have everything that I could ever want in my dream home pinned. I also use it to find great recipes. Half of them I’ll probably never try, but hey, ya never know.
- I love Auburn University. I love Auburn Football. War Eagle!
- I have two dogs- Willow and Ellie. Willow is a German Shepherd Lab mix and Ellie is a Black Lab mutt. I guarantee if you talk to me for a couple of minutes I’ll find a way to slip them into the conversation. I am a huge animal lover!
- I’ve seen Saturday Night Live, live! My mom and I won tickets and traveled to New York for my birthday!
I am so excited about the journey ahead of me. I am confident that this is where God wants me to be. I cannot wait to see what He has in store for my team and me. Thank you so much for all the love, support, and prayers that y’all have showered me with. I am grateful beyond words!
