When you are staying in a super small village in India, it is important to find ways to brighten your day or just to have some fun. Hannah and I created a great game to bring us a few laughs and improve our expectorating skills. We had to brush our teeth using our water bottles (we don't drink the water in developing countries), so we would always spit over the second story balcony. One day, there were some stray pigs wandering around below. Now, in small villages in India, pigs walk around like feral cats. So, a new game was bon. Everytime Hannah and I would go out to brush our teeth, we would try to hit some pigs with our toothpaste or rinse water spit. It sounds disgusting, but pigs eat sewage so we were really just cleaning them. Our teammates were only slightly amused. One night, I saw a bunch of pigs under the balcony, so I ran inside and said, "Grab your toothbrushes guys, let's go spit on some pigs!" Needless to say, Blake loves this line and it gets quoted back to me by my team quite frequently.
