To you on the brink of believing,
You can't deny that God is after you. He always has been – ever since childhood. Throughout your hardship, trial, and suffering. You are His. You can't outrun Him. You can't deny Him. He has been there through it all, no matter how far into the back of your mind you've pushed Him. He hasn't let go. My prayer is that you would lay your life down entirely before Him and submit fully to Him. This will bring true freedom.
You've faced much in your life. I hurt for you and the pressure that you're allowing to weigh you down instead of letting God take it. But I rejoice in the conviction of the Holy Spirit that has brought you out of the dark places you've been. Are you still holding onto this world? Stop trying to outrun God. He won't relent. He loves you too much.
God has brought you far. Give Him the glory. Don't allow pride to keep you from Him. Search your heart. What are you after? Make it Him. Find true contentment in Him. Give up what you're holding onto and walk in the humility that Christ did.
You have influence. Use it for the glory of God. Use the gifts He has given you to bring light wherever you go. Let others see God in you.
I'm hesitant to share my heart with you. You may be defensive or hurt. I challenge you to let these words settle. I challenge you to speak your frustration or anger or bitterness aloud to Christ. He wants to take it. He has far more for you.
I love you too much to keep these words to myself. He loves you more.
