I am in HONDURAS!
Our squad of 52 people is staying at Zion’s Gate, formerly a bar and strip club. Tony Deien, our main ministry contact this month, has an incredible vision for the youth of Honduras. For the past few years he has been working with young boys who live on the streets of Los Piños, a poor neighborhood filled with violence, drugs, and alcohol. I have heard this neighborhood described as “like hell”.
Tony is bringing redemption and life to places that have only seen death and darkness. The kids that Tony has welcomed into his life have crazy stories. He and his wife Nidia have six kids living with them right now – Ariel, Herman, Fernando, Carlos, Luis, and Dania.
When we first arrived at Zion’s Gate, Fernando (12) had been living with Tony and his family for just one week. Prior to that he had been on the streets using paint thinner to get high. This kid is so fun and full of affection. I love how the Lord is transforming his life.

Rather than paint thinner, these kids are now learning how to find their high in the Holy Spirit. It’s been awesome to hang out with them. I love what Jesus is doing in Tegucigalpa.
