As the year draws to a close, I can’t help but think about all of the adventure that 2015 will hold. I’m starting off the new year with a two-month-long trip to South Africa with Youth With A Mission, then spending a few months at home, and then heading off on the World Race in July. I will experience new continents, new friends, new foods, and many, many new situations. I will learn and grow more than ever before. I will power through sick days and homesickness, bad weather and boring layovers. I will miss my nephews like crazy and I will never want to leave the friends I’ve made along each step I take. I’m thrilled and terrified and excited and scared. But most of all, I’m ready.

The past three months have been spent on the YWAM Orlando base, attending a Discipleship Training School. We covered eleven topics, including Hearing the Voice of God, The Father Heart of God, Spiritual Warfare, and Evangelism, to name a few. We have had teachers from all over the world who have a reputation for acting out principles before teaching them. I have made a lot of friends from around the globe, friendships that I will treasure forever and never, ever forget.

I’m leaving to go back to Florida first thing tomorrow morning, and my team is leaving for a nearly 48-hour trip to South Africa on New Year’s Day. I’m looking forward to two months of fun, challenge, and growth in the Holy Spirit. Please pray for health and safety for this time.

I am so extremely blessed to have this YWAM trip already paid in full. I have amazing friends and family who believe in me and the plan God has for my life. However, I have only six months before I leave on the World Race, and I need over $16,000 still. This seems like a huge, solid brick wall in my face. It’s so much money! But there’s one thing I’ve learned in the last few months… There is NO obstacle that is too much for God. I’ve seen Him provide $89,000 out of the pockets of missionaries (a.k.a. people with little to no extra money) in the matter of an hour! How is that even possible?!

God is bigger than what is in my way.

The Great Commission in Acts 1 was Jesus’ last command to His disciples before ascending into Heaven. A command. To His disciples. All of us who follow Christ are His disciples, therefore, the Great Commission applies to ALL of us. Take the Gospel to every corner of the earth, baptize and train up new disciples. This is our job description.

Now, obviously, not everyone can be a “go-er”, a missionary who spends their life on the field. But this is only one of four essential roles under the missionary heading. There are also mobilizers, people who share about the need and get people excited about missions work. There are senders, people who provide for the others, whether it’s financially or through prayer, or by some other means. And there are also welcomers, those who do missions right at home.

Have you prayed about your role under the Great Commission? Or if you are to have more than one role? What gifts and abilities has God given you to make His name know to the ends of the earth?

Therefore, I am asking you to pray about what part God has for you in regards to my World Race. I need all the prayers I can get for provision, health, safety, etc. I also need funds. If you would like to donate, click on the Support Me! link on the top or side of this page.

I would also like to pray for you! Please feel free to leave prayer requests in the comments, or email me. I have a heart to see all of you in good health and following Christ.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read this long letter! If you would like to have a paper copy of my official support letter mailed to you, please let me know!

God Bless you all!
