As I write this blog I'm very excited because something has been stirring in me for the past few days that I just can't shake…I love when the Holy Spirit has something brewing! So a few weeks ago at training camp O Squad sang "It is Well" during our time of worship together, and by the end of the song it had turned into a declaration over ourselves rather than just a "cute hymn". Well yesterday I woke up declaring it is well with my soul, and I couldn't shake it. I immediately thought about O Squad. As the day progressed Psalm 62:5-6 was heavy on my heart "My soul, wait silently for God alone, For my expectation is from Him. He only is My rock and my salvation; He is my defense;  I shall not be moved". That's what declaring "it is well with my soul" really means! See in the midst of adversity when we choose to declare "it is well with my soul" I believe we awaken the sleeping giant within us, because it's then that we have to make a conscious decision to press anyway, bless His name anyhow, and declare who we are in Him by faith in spite of what we see, hear or feel…it's then that we discover that we are worshipping warriors!
John 4:23-24 in the message bible puts it this way “It’s who you are and the way you live that count before God. Your worship must engage your spirit in the pursuit of truth. That’s the kind of people the Father is out looking for: those who are simply and honestly themselves before him in their worship. God is sheer being itself—Spirit. Those who worship him must do it out of their very being, their spirits, their true selves, in adoration.”

I want to leave you all with the lyrics of the song Heart of Worship by Tasha Cobbs.

If you're deep in the ocean high on the mountain Lord my worship will chase you.
My one desire is to never be too far away so draw me closer to touch you.
So here's my heart of worship I give it too you father, father
Here's my heart of worship I give it to you

We are worshipping warriors!
