As I write this blog I am sitting on the rooftop of a building in the mountains of Honduras. Its day 7 here in Honduras and already God has done so much. This month we are being hosted by a ministry called Zion's Gate. Tony and his wife have an incredible vision from the Lord to rescue children and teenage boys from the streets, and totally live out the heart of the Father in pursuit of fulfilling it, the boys are great and are enjoying all the company they are having with our Squad here. Their stories are mind blowing from living at the bottom of garbage dumps to living on the streets with no clothes. I spent the first night in Honduras in the kitchen preparing dinner with two of the women at the ministry. I thought that I was simply going to help and learn to make a Honduran dish, but before I knew it they were sharing their stories. One of the women shared that her husband committed suicide last March leaving she and her children behind. Her hope and trust in God was such an encouragement to see. We boasted together about the love our heavenly Father has for us and sang Jesus loves me in Spanish. Night one the Lord reminded me that His love transcends time, distance, and culture, it's deep, real, all consuming and eternal. On my second day here the Lord impressed on my heart that this month team Love Story will "stand out" because His love is loud, it stands out in ACTION, DEED, and WORDS, it shifts atmospheres and it's contagious! As a team we have committed to allowing the Father's love to stand out through us this month in Honduras in whatever way He pleases! Our squad has also been experiencing the presence of God in an incredible way, His love is going so deep in us, I have a passion for the freedom of this generation like never before. There's an army rising up to break every chain, and we are that army, and we are rising up! Honduras will feel the ripple effect of the Father's love.
