My journey with Missions started when I was in college, and studied abroad in Mexico for a summer semester. It absolutely changed my worldview, and awakened me to the needs of others in a much different way than I had experienced before. After that I strongly felt that I was to work with youth and communities overseas. Google search engine and I have somewhat of a history as it was there I was connected with Youth for Christ and 7 months later after graduating from college became a missionary with YFC as a Community and Youth Worker in Grand Cayman Islands for a year. It was such a blessed season, the most memorable moment of the entire year was when I was sitting on the porch one night and asked the Lord why He sent me there, seems silly huh, like duh to do missions, but the answer changed my life. Gently I heard the words “I brought you here to fall in love with me”, and that’s exactly what happened that year. Through falling in love with people, I fell in love with Him. Now 6 years later, after a long season of waiting sometimes patiently, and others discouraged and anxiously the Lord presented this amazing opportunity with the World Race. It’s funny because I would have never chosen this timing. I am at a place of contentment in my current season, but sometimes He waits for us to get to that place and little do we know that is what is necessary to qualify us for our next season of His purpose and plan for our life to unfold. Once The World Race was bought to my attention I googled it the rest was history from the initial call I received to my interview with Micah. On the morning of my interview the scripture with my devotion read: Isaiah 42:6-7
” I am God. I have called you to live right and well.
I have taken responsibility for you, kept you safe.
I have set you among my people to bind them to me,
and provided you as a lighthouse to the nations,
To make a start at bringing people into the open, into light:
   opening blind eyes,
   releasing prisoners from dungeons,
   emptying the dark prisons.”

….and that’s how I got here 🙂
