This past July I went on a mission trip to Belize, there were many times that I felt inadequate within myself during the trip. The time that earns the #1 spot was during outreach ministry in a local village when I met a young woman named Victoria. From the beginning of our conversation she let me know that she spoke and understood very little English. My Spanish skills are conversational, but I would by no means brand myself as a pro. As we engaged in basic conversation and continued to spend time together the Lord laid it on my heart to have a bible study with her from John 4, He said she was just like the woman at the well. I literally froze and thought OMG that means it's going to have to be 100% Spanish. At that moment with childlike faith, willingness, and obedience I chose to trust His SUPER on my natural. Next thing I knew we sat down and I was fluently speaking Spanish, having bible study with Victoria, amazed I watched the Lord free her from guilt, shame and condemnation. After the bible study and prayer Victoria was so grateful and told her sister in law "she knows alot of Spanish". I thought wow God you so desire to reveal Your love to others that you will download the fullness of a language so Your word is shared and the truth is made known to set someone free. In that moment I was reminded that my obedience birthed her blessing of freedom and satisfaction in CHRIST JESUS! We are HIS vessels and the more we yield to being available the more He can use us. Galatians 5:6 says "For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision or uncircumcision avails anything, but faith working through love."
