I’m not sure where to start so here’s a few common things that someone will know about me after only meeting me a few times.

My parents say I’m special, though it typically isn’t the compliment one might think that is it is.

I’m a little sister to two older brothers. These brothers get me crazy involved in sports and have always supported my love for the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Green Bay Packers. Except for my eldest brother, who actually is a Detroit Lions Fan…we can’t all be perfect.

Growing up, I always wanted to be just like them, whether it was trying a new position in softball or joining band because they were joining band, and my brothers where the coolest.

I picked up my first pair of drumsticks at age 8 and haven’t put them down since, which means that I have been playing drums for over 18 years. I’m not fabulous, but I played with my church’s worship team for years and help fill in for church bands all over my county.

Traveling is life. I’ve been to 45 out of the 50 states with plans to visit 4 more before we launch in January.

This past May, I graduated with my Bachelor’s Degree in Recreation and Tourism Management. I worked in a restaurant for 8 years, but after completing my internship for school, I was offered a job in a city Parks and Rec department. I love my job, but I am stuck in an office for too long during the week. Within the first two days I learned 2 things:

1. Working in an office is nothing like the show, however, I am working really hard of becoming like Leslie Knope.

2. I am way too loud of a person to work in an office.

Fun Facts:

I choose to eat pizza for dinner every time it is offered to me, unless nachos are available.

However, I don’t like melted cheese on my burgers or sandwiches.

My socks never match; it’s a mixture of on-purpose and laziness, who knows.

I highly dislike shoes that tie, and I laugh as I write that because I’m currently wearing my only lace up shoes.

My friends call me a real life Disney Princess because of my constant happy disposition and tendencies to name little woodland creatures or inanimate objects.

I keep a spare pair of drum sticks in my car, just in case…

I have the daily goal of making at least one person laugh. I might not be super funny, but I always meet my goal 😉
