Month 5 is coming to a close. This month was full of really great things, I learned how to use a power drill, watched my team mates get baptized, went to waterfalls and caves, and grew closer with my team mates. As the end of the month approaches there are several things that happen. There is talk about how quickly the month went, our likes and dislikes, how ministry went, and our excitement for the upcoming month.

Traveling to so many different countries allows for many opportunities to say “hello” to new things and new places. It is fun to meet new people and experience a new culture but it is not always as fun to say goodbye. It is the inevitable end to each month and this month it is a little more difficult to say goodbye. Being in Bulgaria has been an awesome experience; there are so many unique things about this place that have made it so great.
Our “goodbye” to our ministry site in Stambolovo was very special. There was loud blaring music playing outside from the moment I woke up, it had an Indian sound to it and it sounded like a lot of fun. I spent the morning packing and cleaning the house and in the afternoon I went out to see what exactly was going on. There were tables set up and people eating together and dancing. There were some familiar faces in the crowd since it was such a small village and so my friends and I joined in the party. We were served food and danced along to the music with the fellow party goers. At first, I thought it was a party for a Holiday that was happening that day but later we found out it was really a graduation party!

Although we weren’t technically invited to this party it felt like an awesome way to say goodbye to the community. We had the opportunity to say goodbye and to hand out more Bibles to the people at the party. It was the perfect way to end such a great month.
