Hi Everyone!
I am so excited to be going on this incredible Adventure in Missions trip starting in January 2013. I have lived in Wisconsin my whole life and am definitely a small town girl. I am 22 years old and have just graduated from Carroll University with a degree in Exercise Science and want to continue my education in Public Health. I have a heart for the nations and would like to work globally after I finish graduate school.
I really enjoyed college and was very involved in my sorority Alpha Gamma Delta, where I held several positions and made lifelong friends. I also had the opportunity to study abroad in New Zealand for a semester where I had my first taste of life in other countries. I had such an amazing time and it gave me a desire to continue to travel and see the world.
I know that the World Race is the perfect opportunity for me to be able to help people all over the world as well as spread the love I have for Christ with people in 11 different countries. I have a servant’s heart and want to do what I can to help those in need. Before I heard of the World Race I applied to teach English in South Korea, be a travel guide, and join the Peace Corps. For one reason or another none of these options worked out and now I know that God was closing those doors so I could so be open to this amazing opportunity which I know is a perfect fit for me.
I have been raised in a Christian home and my Dad is the Pastor of our church, Living Waters Assembly of God. I am blessed to have such a great example of how to live a Godly life and am ready to go on my own journey to fulfill the calling the Lord has for my life. I have three brothers who are my best friends. I am a very friendly and outgoing person with a heart to serve and see the world.
I am an adventurous person who has taken a literal leap of faith when I bungee jumped 400 feet in New Zealand and now I am taking another leap of faith, trusting in God to lead me through this journey of the World Race and believing that He will put people in my life that will want to partner with me and support me financially so that this trip will be possible.
A few other fun facts: I love country music, I love playing volleyball, I love traveling, I love my dog, I love running, and more than anything else; I love the Lord. I am so blessed to be able to dedicate the next year of my life to serving the Lord and to serving so many others around the world.
