Have you ever found yourself in a waiting room and became anxious or frustrated that you had to wait so long?
Welcome to my life.
I seem to wait a lot.
For EVERYTHING.
We live in a culture of instant gratification.
We have lost the hidden glory behind waiting.
Do you remember dial-up internet and AOL free minute disks?

The grueling wait for the snail mail to come so that you could get more internet minutes; waiting for the ding, ding, booooing, You’ve Got Mail to know you have successfully connected.
I would high five my brothers.
Rejoice in the success.
We knew how to wait.
We knew what patience was.
We knew the joy coming our way.
I will be the first to admit that I don’t know how to wait as well as I used to.
I want things to come in MY time.
Like yesterday.
I forgot how to wait on Him.
I forgot the feeling of joy when the wait was over.
It wasn’t until this season of my life that I have realized that maybe waiting isn’t so bad after all.
Maybe God is trying to teach us something.
Maybe we should embrace the wait.
Maybe He is preparing us for something amazing.
Maybe our soul is being prepared.
Maybe our spirit is being renewed.
Just maybe the Lord knows EXACTLY what He is doing.
Check out what He’s been doing in my life the past 2 weeks of my “Waiting Room” by clicking play on the video below.
My challenge to you is to try and embrace the “Waiting Room” you are in right now.
Trust the Lord.
And always remember, He knows EXACTLY what He is doing!
We wait in hope for the Lord; He is our help and our shield. In Him our hearts rejoice, for we trust in His holy name. May your unfailing love be with us, Lord, even as we put our hope in You.
Psalm 33:20-22
