So I don't really have anything major to talk about. Just kinda some updates on how preparation's been going. I wanna do like a stream of consciousness blog. If you've ever read any of William Faulkner's books he does a lot of it. Where he just writes whatever comes to his mind even if it doesn't make any sense at all. But if I did that you'd all probably quit reading right now.
So IT'S MY DAY OFF!!!!! WHOO WHOO!!! I have no plans, well almost no plans. Right now I'm sitting on my bed blogging while exfoliating (for those of you who don't know what that means it means that I have a big scary mask on my face to unclog my pores). I'm also in the middle of washing clothes and my sister Keisha just came over. We're about to go see the movie The Help. I started listening to the audio book which is super awesome. I think that audio books are my new favorite thing. lol Then I'm going to a local college where I just joined the campus ministry's leadership team. I am sooooo nervous. Me? A "leader?" It just sounds weird. I'm just me. I always doubt myself but I just keep thinking that God can use anyone. Even the 12 disciples. None of them were super educated men of status but fisherman and regular guys who were willing to drop everything and follow Jesus. There is one post on facebook that I keep running into and everytime I read it I thank God for the reminder.

"Jacob was a cheater, Peter had a temper, David had an affair, Noah got drunk, Jonah ran from God, Paul was a murderer, Gideon was insecure, Miriam was a gossiper, Martha was a worrier, Thomas was a doubter, Sara was impatient, Elijah was moody, Moses stuttered, Zaccheus was short, Abraham was old, and Lazarus was dead…. Now, what's YOUR excuse? Can God use you or not? -God doesn't call the qualified, He qualifies the CALLED!"

That post always reminds me that Christ's strength is made perfect in my weakness and that it's not about any power of my own because God is all-powerfull and the same power that raised Christ from the dead now lives in me. Like Mali Music said at a concert I went to, "It's not about your ability but your availability."
