Last week a few of my squad mates and I set out to the central park of Chimaltenango. We made “free hugs” signs, blew bubbles, played music and danced around the park. Although most of us are not fluent in Spanish, there is something about a hug, an embrace full of Jesus’ love and light, that makes you come alive and feel so connected with another.
Bubbles are a floating form of joy
For a few hours that day we hugged, shared smiles and prayed over people who were simply going about their day. Doing this has brought me more joy than I could have ever imagined. Smiles make me so, so full and that afternoon I was overflowing with joy.
This month, I made it a goal of mine to say “hola!” to everyone I possibly could. Why? Just because I wanted to see how many people I could share a smile with. Y’all it has been so good for me! It makes my heart so full and warm. People are cool. God is even cooler.
A smile has no language
How many times have you smiled today?
